It is a last example of its kind built in Istanbul, and visited and successful hammam still operational today. This Turkish bath still today consists of two separated baths - men and women sections, spreading over 2834 square meters area.  Famous and royal visitors, as King Edward VIII, Franz Liszt and Florence Nightingale, all visited this unique marble steam bath. If you are visiting Istanbul, we truly recommend you to experience this authentic Turkish bath. Cağaloğlu hammam is situated near Cağaloğlu square and Hagia Sophia. It is open every day, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.  for men, and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for women.

  • Moscow - SANDUNOVSKY BANYA

sandunovski-banya-21Sandunovski banya is classical Russian public bath, which is built in the late 19th century, and is still in operation.  Men and women section of the banya are separated and offer some authentic experiences. Thus, you should try "veniki" (birch twigs) which you can buy in a banya, and increase your circulation by beating yourself gently with the twigs. Banya is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. but the entrance is possible just until 8 p.m. Take a few hours to enjoy your bathing and a "veniki" séance, which will complete your Russian banya experience, as a perfect end of a long sightseeing day.

  • London - PORCHESTER SPA

In this, originate 1929. art deco spa, you can indulge in three different Turkish hot rooms, two Russian steam baths, traditional Finnish Log sauna and in a cold plunge pool.  After bathing processes you can refresh in a full shower suite and finish your sauna bathing in relaxation lounge, offering light refreshments. When you are in Porchester Spa, you should try a truly unique experience of sweat bathing - "Shmeissing". It is a Jewish traditional art of a steam room therapy. While you are enjoying a full Chair Massage, your feet and legs are soaking up in a tub of Hot Salts. After, you go into a Steam room where you are massaged with a soft giant soapy raffia brush.   • Helsinki - KOTIHARJU SAUNA

Kotiharju sauna, built in 1928. , is the only remaining public wood-burning sauna in Helsinki. It was renovated in 1999, with the support from Helsinki Culture Capital Foundation.  In tis public sauna you will find separated saunas for men, women, groups and families. In traditional wood-burning (smoke) sauna, you will enjoy lots of mellow, relaxing heat and steam coming from the enormous wood stoves. Kotiharju sauna is easily accessible by metro, tram or bus, situated only 2 km from the main railway station in Helsinki. It is open every day, except Sunday. Tuesday to Friday, it is open from 2 to 10 p.m. (entrance is possible to 8 p.m.); and Saturdays it is open from 1 to 9 p.m. (entrance is possible to 7 p.m.).
